Fordyce Artists

Inspired by the unique atmosphere and stunning scenery of the village and its surrounding countryside, the Fordyce area provides a wonderful environment for artists and those seeking creative inspiration.

This ‘virtual gallery’, is designed to help local artists by providing a platform for them to publicise their work.

A wide variety of art is produced, from textiles, paintings, pottery to wonderful craftwork in all mediums.

DRIFTED is located on the Moray coast in Scotland specialising in handcrafted driftwood gifts . Shop at www.driftedgifts.co.uk.
We collect driftwood from the local area carefully selecting pieces with just the right visual qualities for our work. Coordinating various pieces of wood and adding in natural fabrics we then handcraft the materials into wall art and free standing sculptures.   Our work generally has a nautical theme including wall hanging Drifters, Yachts and Dinghys. We have also added wall hanging Hot Air Balloons, Sloops, free standing and wall mounted Drifters. [View Gallery]

Glennis Gibson currently resides in Aberdeenshire.  Her portfolio comprises of the natural world, images collected from her world travels and, more recently, commercial projects for graphic and website designs. Shop at www.thevirtualeye.com.
In her work, she perceives the world around her as a canvas that can be painted with texture and light.   The main criteria for her choice of subject is dictated by the time of day.   Her inspiration comes from the times of dawn and dusk, when the light is cleanest, but also ever changing as the day waxes and wanes. Living in nearby Cullen, Jude Daymond incorporates both her local environment and experiences in her wide and varied range of work. Having studied art at Manchester Metropolitan University and sculpture at Cheltenham College of Art (where she graduated with honours), Jude has also worked as a volunteer teacher of English in Tanzania.

Having created her own jewellery for many years, Rhea’s jewellery has found many loving homes, from Ullapool to Barbados, no less! Using a wide range of beads, from vintage to modern glass and freshwater pearls, Rhea’s work reflects a diverse range of sources, with the final effect always the same – beautiful and individual pieces of jewellery which will bring the wearer as much satisfaction as it has the creator.
